Gravity: Analog ORP Sensor Meter for Arduino https://store.3hands.me/product/gravity-analog-orp-sensor-meter-for-arduino/ https://store.3hands.me/product/gravity-analog-orp-sensor-meter-for-arduino/#respond Fri, 19 Jul 2024 14:39:39 +0000 https://store.3hands.me/?post_type=product&p=27988

Introduction

In the ever-increasing need and awareness for health and safety, water has become a focus point for proper disinfection treatment as aftereffects of industrialization can become a danger for contamination of water via direct contact. Water is a critical control point of contact where proper treatment can greatly reduce these microbes, thereby reducing the chances of illness and pollution.

While traditional ORP meters are hard to get or use, this Analog ORP Meter is a highly compact ORP monitoring system that fits into your Arduino. This design configuration allows the user to accurately monitor ORP without having to add any additional circuitry or components to your design. Communication with the Analog ORP Meter is done using only simple wiring and programming. You may also check Liquid Sensor Selection Guide to get better familiar with our liquid sensor series.

ORP (Oxidation-Reduction Potential) is a measure of the ability of oxidation and reduction of the aqueous solution, characterization of oxidizing or reducing the relative degree. Unlike a pH measurement that follows a logarithmic curve and therefore requires more calibration adjustments, ORP follows a linear relationship and does not need instrument adjustment as much as it needs electrode maintenance. ORP has proven to be a reliable method of measuring water quality and provides the operator with a single value of measurement regardless of which product, commodity, operation, treatment, or sanitizer is used, and regardless of varying field conditions or methods by which chemical is applied.

Attention:

The bottle cap of the probe contains protective liquid (3.3mol/L KCL). Even if the bottle cap is screwed tightly, some protective liquid may still leak around the bottle cap, forming white crystals. But as long as there is still protective liquid in the bottle cap, it will not affect the life and accuracy of the probe. So please use it with confidence. It is recommended that the white crystals be poured back into the protective liquid in the bottle cap.

Introduction

This adjustable infrared sensor features a high-sensitivity photo reflector to perform distance detection functions, ranging from 3cm to 40cm. When the infrared light emitted by the emitter gets reflected on a surface that blocked it, the phototransistor can pick up the signal for distance calculation. Also, a potentiometer for adjustment is arranged for easy and clear use. Compared with a regular infrared sensor switch, it has advantages in distance, low interference by visible light, affordable, easy to assemble, easy to use, and can be widely used in robot obstacle avoidance, assembly lines, and many other occasions.

The obstacle detection distance can be adjusted with a potentiometer in the copper screw, once done adjusting(e.g. max 60cm), the sensor will output low flat within the effective distance (e.g. obstructions at 40cm & 10cm ) to the microcontroller.

Introduction

“Greenhouse Effect” is melting the Earth ice core every minute and creating dangerous icebergs. By knowing the exact concentration of CO2(Carbon Dioxide), we can do something to reduce the CO2 and to protect our Earth.
Here is the Arduino-based CO2 sensor designed by DFRobot lovely engineer.

This is the first CO2 sensor in the Arduino market.  The output voltage of the module falls as the
concentration of the CO2 increases. The potentiometer onboard is designed to set the threshold of voltage. As long as the CO2 concentration is high enough (the voltage is lower than the threshold),  a digital signal (ON/OFF)
will be released.

  • It has MG-811 sensor module which is highly sensitive to CO2 and less sensitive to alcohol and CO, low humidity & temperature dependency.
  • Onboard heating circuit brings the best temperature for the sensor
to function. Internal power boosting to 6V for heating sensor best performance.
  • This sensor has an onboard conditioning circuit for amplifying output signal.

To ease the difficulty of using this CO2 sensor,  a Gravity Interface is
adapted to allow plug&play.  The Arduino IO expansion shield is the best match for this CO2 sensor connecting to
your Arduino microcontroller

This is an electrochemical Arduino-based CO2 sensor, it is suitable for qualitative analysis. DFRobot also developed other Infrared CO2 sensors, which are suitable for quantitative analysis.

1. Gravity: Analog Infrared CO2 Sensor For Arduino (0~5000 ppm), high precision, apply to Arduino and other microcontrollers with ADC function.

2. Gravity: UART Infrared CO2 Sensor (0-50000ppm), wide range, apply to Arduino,

Introduction

You may check the latest version – Gravity: Analog pH Sensor/Meter Kit V2 to meet your requirements and Liquid
Sensor Selection Guide
to get better familiar with our liquid sensor series.

Need to measure water quality and other parameters but haven’t got any low-cost pH meter? Find it difficult to use with Arduino? DFRobot analog pH meter, specially designed
for Arduino controllers and has a convenient and practical “Gravity” connector and
a bunch of features. Instant connection to your probe your Arduino to get pH measurements at ± 0.1pH (25 ℃). For most hobbyists, this great accuracy range and its low cost make this a great tool for biorobotics and
other projects! It has an LED that works as the Power Indicator, a BNC connector, and a PH2.0 sensor interface. To use it, just connect the pH sensor with the BND connector, and plug the PH2.0 interface into the analog
input port of any Arduino controller. If pre-programmed, you will get the pH value easily. Comes in a compact plastic box with foams for better mobile storage.

Build your own PH meter gadget or a water monitoring station for your water tanks. This and our other water sensor devices could make for the ultimate water
control device. Use it for your aquaponics or fish tanks or other materials that need measurements.

This is a laboratory probe, it can’t be immersed in the liquid for too long time. You can check here for the whole Analog pH Sensor / Meter Pro Kit
For Arduino
or a spare Industrial Probe as a replacement

Analog pH Sensor / Meter Kit For Arduino Connection

What is pH?

“pH stands for the power of hydrogen, which is a measurement of the hydrogen ion concentration in the body. The total pH scale ranges from 1 to 14, with 7 considered
to be neutral. A pH less than 7 is said to be acidic and solutions with a pH greater than 7 are basic or alkaline.”

Note: Buffer solutions are not included.
After you received your package! You may found some white particles on the
protection foam which is the KCl crystallization from the cap. Please don’t worry about the crystallization in the packing box, that’s normal. Actually, since the transportation restriction on liquid,
we have poured out the KCL3N solution in the cap, the slight crystallization in the packing box should be leaked since the remnant. Anyway, once you received the probe, you should store it in KCL3N solution,
you can not leave it in dry circumstances.

Introduction

This Gravity: Analog ambient light sensor can assist you in detecting light density and provide an analog voltage signal to the controller as feedback. Additionally, you have the ability to trigger other components within your project by setting voltage thresholds.

This ambient light sensor is operational within the voltage range of 3.3 to 5 volts, and is compatible with common controllers such as Arduino, micro:bit, ESP32, RP2040, and Raspberry Pi.
However, please note that the Raspberry Pi board does not have built-in ADC functionality, and therefore requires an ADC expansion module to read the input signals of the analog ambient light sensor, such as the Gravity: I2C ADS1115 16-Bit ADC Module or the IO Expansion HAT for Raspberry Pi 4B/3B+.

To facilitate easier usage of the ambient light sensor, this product is designed with a universal Gravity interface that can be plugged in without requiring soldering. Two screw holes allow you to fasten it to any desired location.
When used in combination with a Gravity IO extension shield, it further simplifies the wiring process, making messy DuPont wires and complex connections a thing of the past and enabling you to focus your energy on your creative designs.
